May 11, 2006 - SCCSF is hosting a luncheon at St. Patrick’s Catholic School in North Hollywood to honor Los Angeles scholarship recipients.
March 13, 2004- The Orange County Register published a lengthy article on the our new "Anaheim Challenge for Education" program. The article has interviews with parents, the key donor, the Anaheim mayor, and school officials."
January 27, 2004-The Los Angeles Times and the Orange County Register both carried articles on Anaheim Mayor Curt Pringle's "State of the City" message where he endorsed our "Anaheim Challenge for Education" for which he is Honorary Chairman.
November, 2003-The Los Angeles Times, Orange County Register, Excelsior, and the Anaheim Bulletin carried stories of the announcement of our Anaheim Challenge for Education scholarships.
November 12, 2003-Anaheim Mayor Curt Pringle, Investor David Steffy and SCCSF Executive Director Michael Warder announced the Anaheim Challenge for Education (ACE) at a Press Conference.
October 3, 2003-SCCSF Executive Director Michael Warder appeared on Week in Review, hosted by Bill Rosendahl, on the Adelphia Communications cable channel.
June 1, 2003-The Los Angeles Daily News published a column by Michael Warder that compared one of the worst performing schools in Los Angeles with a nearby private school, making the point hat there were 11 such private schools in the same zip code. He encouraged local philanthropy to help and suggested that tuition tax credits for businesses that help in such neighborhoods would be a good thing.
